Entering

One glass cover per registration. You are allowed to register and enter as many times as you like. You can see photos of finished holders at these links:

Entries will be accepted between July 15th, 2007 and December 30th, 2007. All photographs must be in focus. A list of manufacturer's type of glass used in creating the glass cover is requested as part of the registration, but not absolutely necessary. Use of Bullseye glass is preferred.

There is no entry fee. Contestants will need to purchase the Toilet Paper Holder at their local glass retail store or distributor — ask if they do not have them in stock. They can also be purchased (Retail) directly from the Aanraku on-line store. Use of the Toilet Paper Holder slumping mold is not required.

Registering by mail

Registration forms are available at your local stained glass studio or store, and at www.warmglass.com or by following this link: www.abasg.com/RegistrationForm.pdf.

Send your signed registration form and one- to-three color photographs, or slides, of the finished glass cover for first round judging. Photographs must not be smaller than 3" x 5" in size. Mail entry forms to:

Judging

Toilet Paper Holder glass covers should be predominantly made of cut, ground, fused or cast glass. Inclusions and related materials are permitted if incorporated into the glass. Adhesive may be used to attach the glass cover to the Toilet Paper Holder or use the provided clamping screws.

Jurying will be done by a panel of judges selected by WarmGlass.com and Aanraku Glass Studios.

Judges will grade each entry on a sliding scale for originality, design, quality, craftsmanship and execution. These scores will be totaled, averaged and used to determine winner positioning. All decisions by the judges are final.

There will be two rounds of judging.

Round One: Preliminary judging by submitted photograph to select the candidates for the final round. Round one judging is from January 2nd, 2008 through January 15th, 2008. The finalists who are selected for Round Two judging will be notified on January 16th, 2008 by email and on our web sites.

Round Two: Final judging of the individual Toilet Paper Holder Glass Covers to select the grand prizewinner, 2nd place and 3rd place. Finalists must send their finished Toilet paper Holder entry to arrive before March 1st, 2008 to:

Shipping must be freight prepaid. We strongly suggest you use a shipping company and method with an Internet package tracking service. Aanraku and WarmGlass.com are not responsible for lost, damaged or broken shipments. At the conclusion of judging, Aanraku Glass Studios will ship the entry back to the entrant at no charge.

Round Two judging is from March 2nd, 2008 through March 15th, 2008.

Winners will be notified by email and on our web sites at the time of the judge's decisions, March 16th, 2008. Prizes will be paid in US dollars and be awarded within 30 days of the end of the contest.

Employees and family members of employees of Aanraku Glass Studios and WarmGlass.com are not eligible to enter the contest.

Aanraku Glass Studios, WarmGlass.com, their employees, sponsors, family members and assignees, will be held to have no liability for materials shipped, received and returned. All submissions, entries, and activities in the contest are at the entrant's own risk. By registering for the contest, entrants agree to these stipulations and conditions. Entrants submit and guarantee that all designs submitted are their own original personal designs, are available for publishing according to the terms set forth below, and that no other individuals, organizations or entities hold rights over any of the submitted designs. Aanraku Glass Studios and WarmGlass.com will not be held liable for any fraud perpetrated by an entrant.

Aanraku Glass Studios and WarmGlass.com are granted the right to publish all winning designs and photos of winning Toilet Paper Holder glass covers in any manner deemed appropriate. No fee will be paid for publishing rights. By registering for the contest, entrants grant this publishing right to Aanraku Glass Studios and WarmGlass.com. Original designer and renderer of the winning Toilet Paper Holder glass cover entries, if published, will be given credit. Aanraku Glass Studios and WarmGlass.com claim no other rights to winning designs and photographs other than as specified herein. Designers of original Toilet Paper Holder glass covers may, at the time of notification of winning, opt out of having their name published by submitting that request in writing within 30 days of their notification. If the entrant wishes and submits the information and consent in writing, published materials may include additional contact or biographical information about the winner.

Any situations not specifically covered by the terms contained in these rules are the exclusive right of Aanraku Glass Studios to decide and effect disposition of same.
