This
is a copy of a 17th century Japanese woodblock print we
wanted to render in glass. |
|
First
we scan the picture, sketch, or outline into the computer
and refine the portion you want to become the working pattern.
We can add, modify and make any changes you want to include. |
|
We
then remove the picture proper from the screen and have
the basic pattern. |
|
We
then prepare the pattern for work and number each piece
|
|
The
basic color scheme you give us is applied and if you like
it, we then move on to the next step which is the fun part.
|
|
Next
the actual glass colors from the manufacturers are applied.
At present we have the almost complete glass files for Spectrum,
Kokomo, Uroboros and Youghiogheny. When we did the lady,
we used Spectrum with the exception of a small piece of
Uroboros for the hair piece on top of the lady's head and
the scoop of the ladle which was scrap from somewhere and
we wish we could find more. |

This
is a photograph of the finished 24"x36" window.
Compare it to the above picture. You can have the same accuracy
in every project you do. |
